Diana Poor NZ Hand-Decorated Square Plates – Pair (24cm)

Diana Poor NZ Hand-Decorated Square Plates – Pair (24cm)

This matched pair of square plates was designed and hand-decorated by established New Zealand ceramic artist Diana Poor during her functional dinnerware period of the 1990s–early 2000s.  Each plate features Poor’s distinctive coastal motifs — stylised fish and floral forms — painted in cobalt blue and warm terracotta slips on a soft off-white ground. The square format and generous 24 cm size give these real presence, whether styled as serving plates, shelf pieces, or wall display.

Diana Poor has been a working ceramic artist in New Zealand for over 40 years, with her work sold nationwide and overseas. These plates are a lovely example of her decorated domestic ware from this era.
